Terms of Service

1. Who this agreement is between

Darsify (“we”, “us”) is operated by Darsify, Third Settlement, New Cairo, Cairo, Egypt. By creating an account you agree to these terms.

There are two kinds of account, and they are not the same relationship:

• Academies. A tutor or teaching centre that subscribes to a plan and runs a workspace. They are our customer.
• Students and parents.People who join an academy’s workspace. They hold a free Darsify account and are billed nothing by us.

2. What we provide

A hosted platform for running a test-preparation academy: exam-style quizzes and mock papers, a student roster and groups, video lessons and materials, scheduling, messaging to students and parents, and an optional storefront. We provide and pay for the underlying services this runs on. An academy does not need its own accounts with those providers.

3. Accounts and eligibility

• You must give accurate details and keep your password to yourself.
• You are responsible for everything done under your account.
• If a student is under 18, a parent or guardian must consent to their use of the platform. Academies are responsible for obtaining that consent for the students they enrol.
• We may suspend an account that is used to break these terms, to break the law, or to put the platform or other users at risk.

4. Content and ownership

An academy keeps ownership of everything it uploads — quizzes, questions, videos, materials, and its student records. We do not sell it, and we do not use it to train anything. We store and process it only to run the service for that academy.

You grant us the limited licence needed to host, back up and display that content to the people you share it with. It ends when you delete the content or close the workspace.

You must have the right to upload what you upload. Do not upload material that infringes someone else’s copyright, including exam papers you are not licensed to distribute.

5. Acceptable use

Do not use Darsify to:

• break any applicable law, or infringe anyone’s rights;
• send unsolicited bulk messages to people who have not agreed to hear from you;
• attempt to access another workspace’s data, or probe the platform’s security;
• resell or sublicense access to the platform itself;
• upload malware, or anything designed to disrupt the service.

6. Plans, billing and taxes

• Academy plans are billed in advance for the period shown at checkout.
• Prices are in EGP and exclude any taxes that apply to you.
• A plan sets limits — students, staff, storage and which features are included. Where a feature is not part of your plan it is shown as unavailable rather than silently missing.
• We may change prices with at least 30 days’ notice before your next renewal. If you do not accept a change you may cancel before it takes effect.
• Students are never charged by us for access to an academy’s workspace.

7. Payments made through an academy’s storefront

An academy may sell books, materials and courses to its own students through its workspace. Those payments are between the student and that academy. The academy sets the price, is the seller of record, and is responsible for delivering what was bought and for handling refunds under our Refund and Cancellation Policy.

Card payments are processed by third-party payment providers. We do not receive or store full card numbers.

8. Availability

We work to keep the service available and we take backups, but we do not promise uninterrupted service. We may take the platform down for maintenance, and will give notice where the work is planned and disruptive.

9. Ending the agreement

• An academy may cancel at any time; the plan runs to the end of the paid period.
• After cancellation we keep the workspace’s data for 30 days so it can be exported or the account reopened, then delete it.
• We may end the agreement immediately for a serious or repeated breach of these terms.

10. Liability

Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law. Otherwise our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before it arose, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, including lost profits or lost data where you had the ability to export it.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. If a change is material we will give notice in the app or by email before it takes effect. Continuing to use the service after that means you accept it.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Arab Republic of Egypt, and its courts have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute.
